Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday transferred an honorarium of Rs 225.39 crore through DBT to the account of about 35 thousand 818 thousand village employment servants at his government residence.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that by the end of this month within the state, we should increase the chances of employment of more than one crore such that every citizen can get employment. He said that MNREGA can become a major medium of employment generation in rural areas. In a state with a population of 23 crore, it should be our effort that we can give employment to 50 lakh people every day.
He said that the biggest task in the present time is that we should provide employment to more and more people and this will be possible only when each village employment servant discharges his responsibilities with full strength.

A government spokesman said that Yogi on Tuesday transferred an honorarium of Rs 225.39 crore through DBT to the account of about 35 thousand 818 thousand Gram Rojgar Sevaks at his government residence. He said that the rural development department has solved the problems related to employment workers today. These problems were pending since November 2016.
The Chief Minister said that employment can be provided to millions of people in micro, small and medium enterprises, MSME sector. Chief Minister Yogi spoke to Ashwani Kumar of Kannauj, Premlata of Varanasi, Asit Kumar Mishra of Gorakhpur, Julie Singh of Hardoi and Ravisen Singh of Pratapgarh through video conferencing.
